I think it came out ok since it was an experiment. With it being red, white, and blue I can use it for the 4th of July.LOL

Magic Squares

I just love the magic Square Hot Pads. They are so easy to make. I like the solid colors , but the variegated yarn makes them look so unique. Don't you think so?
I will have more pictures soon of the ones I made for Christmas. When I get time I will post them.
Right now I am enjoying the grand kids.
Have a grand New Year!!!

No medals for Me

Well, I blew the Ravelry Olympics. Here is a Picture of what I needed to do to finish the blanket.

All I had to do was to finish the lettering on the one balloon, attach the 3 balloons and the Tweety to the blanket. add the border on the blanket. That was it.

But instead of doing what needed done. Medical issues came up and I was unable to do what I wanted. I have let my team mates down. But I shall finish the blanket before the end of the year.

I am working on UFO's the rest of this year. That will be a lot of Christmas Gifts for this year.

March Is really over?

Here I have let another month slip by and not started my son's blanket . At this rate it might be done by Christmas, but, then again????

But I did get a few things done. Some yard work.,No. 4 son signed up for Little League, Got son No.3 his Bass Guitar to go with the band he has started so he can learn to play,Daughters 2 and 3 looking into college courses for the summer, Daughter 4 taking summer classes to finish her Senior year, and I did do some , but , very little crocheting:

The first one is a clover Hot Pad for St. Paddy day, But the color is distorted, it is actually green, The second is a colorful bookmark.

Plus had the grand kids for spring break. Poor kids didn't have much fun as it was wet, rainy and cold. But I think they still had some fun.

Latest Books I have read.

I have been reading Jean Leinhauser and Rita Weiss book 100 Crochet Projects. Your pictures are wonderful and the instructions are very clear to understand.

It always amazes me what you can do with a string and and a hook. You can make things to keep people warm, you can clothe people, entertain people, all with just string and a hook.

Then there is all the useful things you can make to keep your home clean and looking nice, and to decorate you home as well.

I would like to Thank all the Designers that take the time to write down your designs for those of us who just like to crochet and not write out designs. You keep us in stitches. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Need to get started.

Still haven't started on my Son's blanket he wants. Uh, his Birthday was yesterday and the poor kid was sick with a nasty cold. At least he is feeling better today.

But I do have it graphed out, Colors chosen, now to figure out how to do the intarsia on the LK-150 without an intarsia key plate.

The colors have changed to black and white.

January is a slow month

These are a few of the things I did in January. It seems that I slow down after Decembers' rush for Christmas.

But I am still working on making the graph and blanket for Son #3.

AK Has given me some great advice. I think I will go ahead and make it in intarsia. Thank you for the graph link you gave me. It will come in very handy.

Ak I hope you are feeling better.

Crafting News of the week

Well, we have narrowed the Colors down to two for son no. 3's afghan. Navy Blue and White.

Now to get the character that he wants in coloring page format. But first he has to choose the character. This will be knitted on my LK150 machine.

To stay on top of what I did last week in crochet, well, It wasn't much but, it was something. I made a cross bookmark for a friend.
Daughter no. 3 was home and has asked for a couple that she can give as gifts, so I know what I will be doing in Crochet this week.

New Beginnings--With a New Year

New Year and New Creations to make.

This Year I plan on making each child of mine an afghan for their birthday. So I have about six weeks to make the first one. It is for Son number 3.

Now, to figure out which character to make? Star Wars, Final Fantasy, or Escaflowne.

Well at least I know his favorite colors. That is a good start.

Time to play "I Spy" and see what he wants without him finding out what I am up too. Will this make me a secret agent? Hmmmm
